Chasing - Chasing is a metalworking technique where the metal is worked from the front by hammering with various chisel-like tools that move the metal without removing any from the surface.

Embossing - Embossing is a metalworking technique producing raised or sunken designs on the metal by pressing it with objects or patterned dies.

Mokume Gane - Mokume-gane is a Japanese word that means "woodgrain metal". It is a metalworking technique where sheets of different colored metals are fused together, then the block is manipulated and sliced to reveal intricate patterns. Originally the fused block would have been manipulated in such a way to produce a woodgrain pattern. 

Keum-Boo - Keum-boo (or Kum-boo, in Korean) is an ancient Asian technique where pure gold (24k) is bonded to the surface of another metal. Keum-boo means "attached gold".

Shakudo - Shakudo is an alloy of Copper and Gold. It has a dark copper, almost leathery appearance.

Shibuichi - Shibuichi is an alloy of Silver and Copper. It is a pale pink color, but when a patina is applied it turns black.
